Here they are side by side. You can see clearly that the new one is a lot thinner than multiple component sigma lens.

Clearly the new macro lens is superior in strength to last weeks lens. At least the old lens gives me the option to pic and choose which segments to use in order of macro strength.

The fish eye lens which is the main aspect of this purchase is fantastic. The effect it gives is brilliant and also works beautifully in video recording mode.
